Tikal, Guatemala
The sun sets on the Temple of the Great Jaguar (Temple I). Located in the Petén Basin region of northern Guatemala, Tikal is one of the largest pre-Columbian Mayan cities in Mesoamerica. The Temple of the Great Jaguar stands 55 metres (180 ft) tall, and is only surpassed by Temple IV at 70 metres (230 ft).
